Sweet treat

Don't these look yummy? The one with the heart is chocolate with strawberry icing and the other one is red velvet. I got them from Crumbs Bake shop at Union Station. Being that I'm trying to stick to my diet,  one of these babies will probably last me a week (the other I plan on giving to my sweety).

Spice and Dice

My boyfriend and I had lunch yesterday at Spice and Dice, a small Thai restaurant in Baltimore. The food was delish (I love Thai food) and the ambiance was so cute and colorful.We started with some yummy spring rolls with a spicy Chile dip. I had the beef with red curry, carrots, peas and coconut milk. My bf got chicken  but I'm not exactly sure what else is in it (I was too busy stuffing my face to ask ha). We washed it all down with tall glasses of guava juice. Definitely some good eats.

So the weather in the DMV has been very bipolar lately. One day it's below freezing and the next it's "high of 60" and sunny. Today was one of those "high of 60" days and the sun... well it was playing hide and seek. I love that it's not freezing but the hi-low weather is causing me to be under the weather. Anyway, here is my look of the day. This jacket is just amazing. I love the floral print and the bit of sophistication it brings to an outfit. I feel like this is such a refreshing twist to the normal corporate worker attire.

My first CapFabb meet up

 I had the extreme honor to participate in my first Capfabb meetup last night at Madewell in Georgetown. It was a wonderful evening filled with fashion, champagne and cupcakes. I met so many wonderful bloggers (several of whom I stalk on a daily bases lol). I was so preoccupied with hobnobbing with DC's fabulous bloggers, that I had little time to take photos but here are a couple that I was able to snap in between sips of champagne and blabbing.

Saturday nights with Vogue and Parfait

So I'm sitting here on a Saturday reading the latest issue of Vogue when a rumble in my tummy says "I want food". After a failed attempt at trying to ignore this rumble, I decided to make myself a quick snack that wouldn't turn me into a linebacker by morning. I came up with this ultra yummy yogurt parfait. All you need to recreate this figure-friendly snack is: Plain non-fat yogurt, Blackberries, Blueberries and 100 calorie pack Lorna Doons.

Now this recipe is certainly up for alterations, I just wanted to make something quick and somewhat low in calories and these are the ingredients I had on hand but you can certainly make it with any kind of fruit, yogurt or cookies you'd like. Taking these ingredients, I just layered them into a dessert cup until the last layer reached the rim of the cup and there you have it. My very berry low cal Saturday night snack. Enjoy!

Shoes Envy

This is a quick post showing you my latest shoe envy. It's a pair of $945 Christian Louboutin peep toes. I am in love with this shoe but with the hefty price tag, will probably have to save a little to get them. They are the perfect pair of transitioning shoes (from winter to spring) and can be rocked well into the summer. Well let me leave you all with your shoegasms lol
