Red leather

It's getting colder these days so an outfit composed of leather, velvet and feathers is so necessary.

Central Michel Richard

It's been a while since I've done my last food review( here) and I am so disappointed in myself for that because I have been to some great places since then. I'm definitely going to start doing them again because I love sharing great my culinary experience. Today's review is for the DC restaurant, Central Michel Richard.

Man repeller

Last week the Man repeller, aka Leandra Medine , came to DC to do a book signing for her new book, Man repeller: Seeking love, finding overalls . When I first heard about the event I knew I would be in attendance but I wasn't quite sure what  to wear. I thought my usually ultra feminine style, wouldn't be appropriate for a Man repeller party so I stepped out of my comfort zone and tried something new, Boyfriend Jeans. Yes, this is my first and only pair of boyfriend jeans and I am ashamed that I waited so long to try them. They are super duper comfy and I still feel pretty feminine in them. (Side note: I actually DIY them to make them distressed. I'm getting really DIY obsessed all of a sudden lol)
I paired the jeans with my go to fall booties, crop top, embellished blazer and clutch.
Funny story, at the book signing I met a girl would had a clutch almost identical to mine but hers was vintage from the 70s.   Crazy right?!
Anyway I hope you all have a fab friday and even fabber (yes, I made that word up) weekend!!

Santa Fe Stuffed Peppers and Spanish Quinoa

I'm going to save you the lame excuses as to why I haven't done a food post in a while and just say that I will start doing them again and more often. Now to the recipe, this dish came to fruition because of a strong craving for spanish cuisine one night. I searched my pinterest for a recipe that would satisfy this craving and came across this one. I thought this was a pretty health conscious choice but I wanted to add some kind of carb to it. I thought of making a mexican rice but thought it would be counter intuitive to eat rice with such a figure friendly dish like stuff peppers. Cue the Quinoa. I figured I could satisfy my rice craving with a tasty quinoa substitute. This make shift recipe came out even better than I could imagine. I probably won't eat spanish rice ever again (lie lol). Any way if you want to know how I made the peppers, check out the recipe above and the recipe for the quinoa and more pictures are below.

Wild Thing

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Mine was filled with organizing, cleaning, cooking, open houses, showings, pictures and rain. It rained the entire weekend! I was barely able to get pictures taken. Well hopefully we will have a dryer week. I don't mind the cool air very much but the cool air mixed with rain in a no bueno.
3.1 Philip Lim X Target. Need I say more. This is another piece I was able to snag on the day of the launch. I chose to style the top with a vintage leather pencil skirt,  my go to leopard pumps and my dear cookie monster.

I know many people have gotten their hands on this top from the collection but I bet no one has styled it like this. See that's the thing about style, you can take a piece that everyone has and transform it into something totally unique. I hope that you will take the pieces you have and put your own, totally unique spin on it.

Mirrored prints and white

Just a beautiful day by the Georgetown water front. If you've never been, you must go!!!
This weather is so bipolar it doesn't know if it wants to be summer or fall. So I dressed for the most appropriate season which is, both! I'm summery with all the colors and white background and fall-y, with the layering and the suede heels. It's kind fun mixing two seasons. I don't think the weather will be allowing me to do this much longer but it was great to experiment for that day.
Now, I got to talk about my clutch. I call her Cookie, as in cookie monster. She was a bag that I diy'd with that fabulous blue trim. Don't get me wrong Cookie is kind of heavy but she is just the most adorable thing ever!!!
