Puerto Rico

I figure I'd take a break from my NYFW post to share with you some of my photos from Puerto Rico. As I told you I was in Puerto Rico for a short vacation and I wanted to do a "little" photo diary to show you all of the amazing things I was able to see and experience while I was there. With this chill in the air that we're having on the east coast, I am  certainly missing that Puerto Rican sunshine.
 We stayed at the Embassy Suites and Casino, which was great. They have free breakfast in the morning and a free cocktail time between 5:30-7:30pm every evening. I would definitely recommend staying there.
Food selection was also good in Puerto Rico. When you're there you must try the Mofongo, which is a Puerto Rican dish made of plantains and which ever kind of meat (or veggies) you choose.

The beaches in Puerto Rico are beautiful (not as beautiful as Barbados lol). We had so much fun walking around the beaches and old San Juan. Old San Juan is full of such rich history and beautiful architecture, I felt like I was in a little city in the Middle of Spain. Another great thing to do while in old   San Juan, besides walking around and taking in the beautiful scenery, is visit the Bacardi brewery. It's such a good tour and it free. After the tour you get  two free samples of Bacardi cocktails. Such a great deal!
 All in all I had a very good time and would definitely love to go again. Tropical Print

 This Past weekend I went Atlanta with the BF for basketball. It was so HOT down there so the less clothes the better. I opted for this Tropical Print dress that I scored on sale a H&M. It was the perfect little number to keep me nice and cool in the hot Atlanta sun.

Mustard

 Imagine being in the middle of a little town, in the middle of winter, with no coat on, in Germany, being photographed by a guy who's seven feet tall. That's what I was going through while taking these pictures.
I wore this outfit to do some window shopping with the beau while in Germany. I wanted to be comfortable but still a bit fashionable. This sweater also gives off a bit of sex appeal by being slightly see through.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year all!!! I hope you had a super festive and eventful New Years Celebration. As I told you all in my last post, I went to Berlin, Germany for New Years Eve. I had a wonderful time and would definitely recommended it. There were thousands of people and the atmosphere was jovial and fun. There was food and booze everywhere and  drunk happy people dancing and singing in the streets.   I took a few shots while celebrating so you all can have an idea of want I am describing.

Greetings from Deutschland

Hello all. I hope you all a ready for Christmas. As I told in a previous post , I am in Germany visiting my beau and thought I'd share some of our adventures with you. Yesterday, he and I, went to a German Christmas Market, which unfortunately was being packed up until next year :( . We did, however, get to grab a bite to eat from the food vendors that are still there and I was able to try some local treats, one being Glüwein, a warm wine beverage. I am so happy to be here and can't wait to share more with you all. Have a very merry christmas everyone!!

Carnival in Barbados

Being the caribbean girl that I am (Mixed with Bajan, Haitian and Cuban), I had to make a trip to Barbados to celebrate Crop Over (our version of Carnival). I had the most amazing time and just wanted to share a bit of the experience with you all. Even though I use to live in Barbados (for high school), I have never really experienced a Crop Over because I was always traveling back home to the US for the summer, so this is really one of my first Crop Over experiences as well.

Historically, Crop Over was a time to celebrate the end of the sugar cane harvesting season. Now, Crop Over is the biggest celebration in the country which includes parades, calypso singing competition and parties, lots of parties. Kadooment  day, is the day that everyone in the different "bands" wear their costumes and have a big party parade. Kadooment day also ends the crop over celebration which lasts about 2 months. If you all are familiar with carnival in Brazil, Crop over is a very similar concepts.

 I had so much fun watching all of the bands parade down the street and seeing people have a good time. I actually want to participate in a band next year, so look out for that. The picture in this post, were taken on Kadooment day. As you will see the costumes are so beautiful.  Hope you enjoy your peek into Bajan (Slang for Barbadian) culture.

Vegas Baby

Hello my beautiful readers, I do apologize for my absence. As I told you in my previous post, I was in Vegas on vacation and had an awesome time. Vegas is such a glamourous place and the food and shopping is superb. I can't wait to go back. This is the first time I have been there as an adult so I wanted to go everywhere and see everything. I wanted to share my trip with you all so I decided to make this week on the blog Vegas week! Every day this week I plan to share a bit more of my trip with you. Today, I want to start with my first day in Vegas.  This dress kept me cool in the super Vegas heat. I wanted to keep it casual yet cute. These pictures were taken at the Pallazo hotel and casino. That hotel was one of my favorites because it had the best shops and restaurants.
