Colorful Stripes

Even though this weather doesn't want to cooperate with the season, I decided to rebel and pull out my spring inspired attire. I am so in love with this cobalt blazer. Come to think about it, lately, I've just been in love with cobalt pieces in general. I got these fabulous shoes from Aldo (You can see what I'm talking about on my instagram) in this beautiful hue and I can not wait to style them.

Maroon and blush

It seems as though my prayers were answered this weekend, the weather was at Antarctica for the first time in weeks. I was able to get out and about. Went to the gilt City warehouse sale and grabbed a fabulous brunch with some new friends. Can I tell you how much I'm ready for spring. 

Because of the milder temps this weekend, I gave a nod to my old friend spring by rocking this blush and maroon tone outfit. I stock with the color pallet with my vintage fur and new Brian Atwood heels. I felt extra feminine and flirty in this outfit. 

Can I say again how much I am looking forward to warm weather on a regular basis?? Well only a few more weeks (le sigh)

Rebirth

"Spring and "springtime" refer to the season, and also to ideas of rebirth, rejuvenation, renewal, resurrection, and regrowth."

The concept of regrowth and rejuvenation is one that has been swirling around my head for the past few months. 

This past weekend my car was broken into and some douche bag stole my camera (yes the brand new camera I got only one month ago). Initially, I was so upset and flabbergasted by this wondering "why does dumb shit like this keep happening to me?", but then I realized (after sulking for the whole weekend) that there are way worst thing that could happen to me. Last year this time, I had just come out the hospital after spending a month there for a ruptured appendix. Everyday above ground is truly a blessing and I really want to live my life remembering that no matter what happens to me. I will get my car fixed and get another camera but there is no other me and it could have been much worst. 

I don't really know why these things happen and I'm sure all of you have situations that make you wonder "why me?" but you must have rain to see a rainbow and you must go through winter to get to spring. This is only a minor set back (for you and for me). I am ready for my rebirth. 

Speaking of rebirth and spring, we had some amazing spring- like weather this weekend and I just had to take advantage. I wore this great floral print slip dress and lightweight trench to grab some brunch at Shaw's tavern with some of DC's fabulous bloggers. 

I'm really trying to give more meaningful content when I put up my blog post and I hope you all can appreciate it. Let me know what you think.

Hello my hungry fashionistas, Happy New Year! Thanks for joining me in the New Year. I hope you all had a wonderful NYE and are ready to get the year started off right. Recently I have been really into vision boards. I've done a lot of research about them and I think that they are a great way to have a reminder of what you want for your life and give you motivation to achieve it. Hello All. I have to apologize for the lack of new outfit post, I'm having some technical difficulties aka my camera is broken. In the mean time, while I wait for my new and way better camera to be delivered, I wanted to share some of my favorite looks from this past year.

Spring wish list

Here in the Dc area, we are experiencing the most amazing weather and I am so ready to get my spring shopping under way.
