Best of F/W 2014

Giambattista Valli
Hello Fashion menu-istas. Just a quick post here showing some of my favorite looks from some of the F/W 2014 runway show. I wasn't able to check out the show in person this season but was definitely checking them out at home.
This seasons collections were full of rich colors and tons of texture. I tried to pick out a few of my favorites but would love to hear what you liked from the F/W 2014 collection.

2013

Hello All. I have to apologize for the lack of new outfit post, I'm having some technical difficulties aka my camera is broken. In the mean time, while I wait for my new and way better camera to be delivered, I wanted to share some of my favorite looks from this past year.
2013 wasn't the greatest year for me personally, but I know that 2014 is going to be amazing and for that I am truly grateful and I hope that you all will be there to share in my adventures.

Man up

I hope you all had a great thanksgiving. I'm currently in Minnesota visiting the future in-laws and having a great time. Besides it being like 0° F, Minnesota is actual pretty cool. Tax free shopping, the Mall of America, and some great places to eat have made this place quite comfortable for me.
Before I left Maryland, I was able to snap these picture and as composed as they look I must tell you that I was freezing!! Even though it's almost winter, I still think you can bare a bit of skin and still keep warm. The trick to rocking a crop top in the cold is by being mostly covered up otherwise.
Well, I'm on my way out the door so I will talk to you all super soon. To catch up with me and see some more great content, follow me on instagram @according2trish

The Cape

There is nothing like a cape to make a girl feel ultra fabulous and chic. This cape just makes me feel so bordeaux-esque.

Fuchsia

A week ago, I had the pleasure of the attending an event at Eduardo Depandi, a luxury suit shop owned by Eduardo Depandi, Giuliana Rancic's father. The store was filled with beautifully tailored suits and guest were treated to champagne and sweets.  I was so trilled to meet Giuliana and he husband, Bill.  They are like the cutest couple (besides me and my babe of course lol).
I wanted to be classy yet sexy and I think I got the ultimate approval when Giuliana 'fashion police' Rancic told me that I looked fabulous!

Emerald with envy

Took a little trip up to Baltimore yesterday to take care of some business and found myself completely surrounded by amazing places to shoot. These murals we're literally with in the same block. I had such a great time walking around and admiring the street art. My favorite mural (which I didn't get a chance to shoot) was of a the super hero Flash in robotic form. It is just so amazing to see how talented people really are because I am a big art admirer. Sometimes I wish I was artistic in that sense but I'm just thankful and truly blessed to channel my artistic nature with clothing and food. It was really cool to find other forms of art that evoked a tone similar to my artistic piece, my outfit.
Well enough with my ramblings, I hope you all have an artfully beautiful day.

Everything that glitters

Happy Friday beautiful!! Hope you all had a very great and productive week. My week was filled with work errands and events. This outfit was worn on this past wednesday to two different event I attend. One was the worn magazine creative collective, the other was a event held for the United colors of Benetton. I had an exceptionally good at the Benetton party. They served amazing selection of hors d'œuvres and had a great open bar. That was basically the highlight of the night.
Now a little bit about this outfit, the skirt and bag are both pieces I scored while in Amsterdam last year.  The gold velvet like fabric of the skirt screams regality so I had to pair it with my great vintage fur.

Hope you all have a great weekend. To see my weekend happenings check out my instagram @according2trish and Facebook.com/fashionaccordingtothemenu

NYFW Day 4: Feathers and Leather

This is probably my favorite outfit from fashion week. I love feathers and this fabulous feather stole, that I found in a quant vintage shop in Amsterdam, is beyond amazing. You wouldn't believe that this actually goes around your neck but I decided to put a Trisha twist on it and tie it around my waist to give a sort of peplum allusion.
I am really into leather this fall. Like I can't get enough of it. I love how this dress isn't completely leather because it makes it that much more interesting.
I just want to warn you all now, these shoes are so chic and comfortable and you will see me wear them  a lot this fall. Speaking of fall, its actually officially fall now. I can't believe how quickly this year seems to be going by. Like many others, fall is my favorite season but I am dreading the colder weather to come. Well, I'm sure I have something else to do right now so I going to stop typing and wish you all a great week!!
Thanks so much for reading and for even more amazing content check out my instagram @according2trish .

NYFW Day 2

Hello all, I hope you've enjoyed your weekend. As I type this I am currently in New York for fashion week. Fashion week is one of my favorite times of the year and this trip has been a blast. I have had some truly great experiences. I attended a few shows (which I will be giving you a sneak peek of soon) and have had my fill of fashion lounges and events. I am truly appreciative of the experiences I get to have because of my blog. I can't wait to show you all of the great photos that I took. Until then, here are the pictures I took of my first look which was taken on the second day of Fashion week.

Fall Fashion Favorites (Giveaway Winner)

Hello gorgeous people. Lovely weather we're having. (Well at least if you're in the DMV). As you can tell, from my pass couple of posts, I am too excited for fall. I love the crisp weather, the yummy food and most importantly the fashion. I am currently trying to build up a fall wardrobe but not just any fall wardrobe. One that will last me into winter and be just as chic come next fall. I was checking out the offerings at some of my favorite site (While siting by my new fire pit lol. Yes I am excited about my fire pit) and made a pinterest board out of my picks. I thought I'd share some with you all just in case you're like me and you're building your fall wardrobe as well.

New York Fashion Week Day 1

Hello all, I do apologize for my absence. As you all know I was in New York for the Mercedes Benz Fashion Week. I had an amazing time and got a chance to see a few shows. I will definitely be doing some show reviews so stay tuned for that. In the mean time I wanted to show you all what I wore on the first day of fashion week. Now this outfit took a little elbow grease to put together. The feathered peplum top is actually a dyi. I got a plain peplum top from Zara and added feathers to it. The feathers did take a while to add on but I love the result. Though my outfit was all black, I wanted to make it interesting by adding varying textures. The tikka (head piece) was a great addition and gave the outfit the bit of bling it was missing.
Can't wait to share even more of my Fashion week experience with you. Hope you all have a wonderful day. Thanks for reading.
