NYFW eats

So while in New York for fashion Week I was able to catch a few meals here and there and I just wanted to share. Just looking at these pictures makes me want to experience the food all over again. New York is a mecca for restaurants and great eat and I was super happy that I got to eat at some really great places.

30 for 30: Day 2

So yesterday I told you about this 30 day photo journal I keeping that was suggested by The seventh district and today is day two of thirty and the photo is suppose to be a picture of something I ate today. Now this was right up my alley considering this is a food and fashion blog. I decided to make a Spicy Asian inspired rice pilaf made with white rice , chicken , peas, carrots and  a spicy ginger sauce.

So I hope you all had a great thanksgiving. I definitely had a wonderful time with family and friends and ate WAY too much (which I'm paying for this week in the gym lol). I just want to share my outfit and some of the great food my sister prepared for turkey day.

Lunch in DC

I had a photo shoot in the city yesterday and as to not have a food baby belly I opted to wait after the shoot to eat. DC is full of some amazing restaurants but one of my favs has to be Busboy's and Poets. It has such a cool  atmosphere. You can read, do work or have a great meal with friends. Busboy's and Poets also offers open mic night and poetry slams every week. The menu is kinda Mediterranean inspired and has a lot of vegan, vegetarian and  organic choices. I had the blackened fish sandwich, which is grill Mahi Mahi steak on a potato roll. It was delish! Next time your near 14th street check em out...
